Upset that God has not done what you desired, to right evil? You asked in believing prayer and await your answer. God wants everyone to know that he alone will get the credit, in his answer. When the children of Israel were delivered from slavery in Egypt, they had groaned with the hard labor and poor treatment. At the right time, God delivered them. On the surface it did not look promising. They left Egypt and had Pharaoh and his army pursuing them. The Red Sea was in front of them and the army behind them. God performed a miracle and parted the sea, so everyone could walk through the sea on dry ground. When the Egyptians tried to do the same thing, God fought against them. The people were told they would not see the ones who were cruel taskmasters again. Then the Red Sea closed over Pharaoh and his army, where they perished.
God supernaturally provided for the children of Israel, giving water, food, clothing and help. All the nations in the area, heard how God cared for his people, how he fought for them, and the miracles he performed for them. Not only did the Israelites rejoice but fear of God came on the nations. God got all the glory, instead of man. He does the same thing, today. When God delivers us from evil, everyone knows it is God’s wondrous might that delivers us from hopelessness. He gets all the glory not man. Do not get discouraged, God is working on your behalf, in his timing, not yours.
Rahab told the Israelite spies in Jericho: “I know the Lord has given you this land,” she told them. “We are all afraid of you. Everyone in the land is living in terror. For we have heard how the Lord made a dry path for you through the Red Sea when you left Egypt. And we know what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings east of the Jordan River, whose people you completely destroyed. No wonder our hearts have melted in fear! No one has the courage to fight after hearing such things. For the Lord your God is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below. (Joshua 2:9-11 NLT)

Thank you for these words of comfort! The Exodus contains many useful lessons for modern man, who has put too much trust in his material possessions.

It takes faith to pray and wait for God to move on our behalf. But we are much better off waiting in Him.
