Regrets Or Abundant Life?

by Hazel Straub

Living with regrets and looking back on the past? Abba God wants you to change your focus to him. He knew you could not get out of your mess and sent his one and only Son Jesus the Anointed One to pay the price, so you enjoy abundant life through him. Abba’s unconditional love is expressed by the obedience of Jesus to lay down his life, paying the price for your sins. He loves you and has redeemed you, with his precious blood, so we can live victorious, with no regrets.

No more thinking how things would have been better, “if only, I should have, I could have.” It’s time to forgive, let it go, and to stop rehearsing what went wrong and blaming others or yourself. Focus on Jesus and what he has done for you. He took all the curses and your punishment, so you can live the abundant life. Leave the shambles of the past and walk into the bountiful life, he has for you.

Abba God is waiting for you to look at him. He has the keys to your future, filled with new opportunities and abundant blessings, as you listen and follow his instructions. As you leave the past, he will fill you with new vision and provision for what he has for you. Drop the regrets, so there is room for Abba God to fill your arms and imagination with many gifts for today. Enjoy the present and look forward to really living with the abundant blessings he has for you!

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)

  2. This is wonderful, Hazel! There are so many “if only” and “woulda, coulda, shoulda” thoughts out there. The enemy of our souls loves to use these against us. DON’T LET HIM! Run to Jesus instead. If you belong to Yahweh, your life is in His 🙌 hands.
    Blessings!

  7. So true! I used to dwell on the past and God reminded me that my life is in this present state, and to focus on the ‘here and now’, and plan, in joy, for the future. 💕 Excellent post!

  9. Oh my goodness can the enemy keep us up at night with the “ya but, if only I had, or if only I hadn’t?” My heavens, I have learned to never, ever renew my subscrition to the Yabuts Club. No. Because when I get into my thinking that my actions/inactions could have made a difference or would have put something/someone right, I have to remember I have a lifetime subscription to humanity. I mess up but I’m not a mess. I make mistakes, but I am not a mistake. Some of the richest moments of my life have been when I’ve gone to God and said, “Father, I fell down again.” Then He picks me up, dusts me off and we start all over again. Rich. And rich too when I offer amends to one or ones I’ve hurt with my mistakes. (Spoiler alert- that often times is me I make amends to). Yup that’s right, my boo-boos or lack of judgement based on ego (an acronym for edging God out) can come back to bite me harder than anyone. So when the enemy comes with his ceaseless list of my failures past, present or perceived future? I just look at him and say, “Sorry old son, my God told me I’m loved and He’s working on making me whole.” Then I push the memories aside, assured that our Lord, long ago, on a lonely hill, in love, pain and passion took my sins and yours. That day as all days, He told us the truth. And in His act of compassion for the fallen, he took each sin and nailed it. Blessings and thanks, thanks, thanks for this reminder. Soldier on beloveds. We have many who need to hear this one, especially today, yes? Luv ya
