Prayer For Humbling Self And Turn To God

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV)

Yahweh is calling the church of America, to turn from her wicked ways, and turn to him. He keeps highlighting the word “Wicked Ways”, to me. The meaning is when the righteous know what is right or the right thing to do or say, and choose not to. It is when one is being displeasing to Yahweh but very pleasing to oneself.

Lately, I have seen and heard many people prophesying, fasting, praying, and posting more about this presidential election than about the lost souls to enter the Kingdom of Yahweh, as his elect.

I have witnessed friends, family, and yes even believers, fall out or break covenant over who they are supporting or voting for. They then pass judgment on such ones, according to their personal opinions. This is wicked.

Father, I come seeking your purpose, your prospect, and your heart, not my own. I humble myself to your Lordship and perfect will. I repent, and turn from—abandon my wicked ways and turn my heart to worship You. Father tear down every altar I’ve built, that does not lead to You.

Father, please hear from heaven, forgive my sin, and heal my land—restore me to health. In Jesus’s miraculous name. Amen 🙏🏿 amen.

  1. Interesting. If only we prayed and fasted over our own sin and the lost half as much, imagine.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • You are welcome, Evad. Fasting and prayer changes us, so we can demonstrate the heart of God for the lost!

  2. You make an important point, Gabriel. Many Christians have put down their crosses and are now carrying grudges. Who the president of the USA is, doesn’t change who rules the universe! God is infinitely bigger than politics—or any other man-made invention we’ve invented to keep score. Right now, Christians need to point their fingers to heaven instead of each other. Blessings.

  3. God has been dealing with me about prayer too. He says we should see what we are praying for come to pass because that will increase our faith! Great post!

  5. Great post! As David confessed, “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. (Cf. Psalm 51:17)

  7. Amen! Yes, Lord! May hearts put the focus, back on you. May they stop listening to other voices, and hear your heart. You’re in control, and your love still reigns! This needed to be said, our identity is in Christ, not any man. God bless!

  8. My major concern is that both right and left have their own code of PC. Now that Liberals won they’ll advance a Godless equality of every sort. And should the conservatives win in four year they will advance a top down economy devoid of any passion for the people left behind. And in it all money rules and money governs.

The church can no longer depend on government any more than it could depend on Nero. Every issue has a Christian solution. And we’ve been AOL.

    • Yes! The church is called to rule and reign. We are to pray for our leaders and be salt and light! When we are missing in action, there is a big void!
