It is empty! How many times have you looked at your natural provision and exclaimed that your cupboard, your stash of money, intellect, talents, appearance, and or resources, et cetera, were empty? You think, “How am I going to make it because I do not have this or that? How will I survive because I made this or that mistake in the past?”
God wants you to know that the tomb is empty. All that remained there was the prayer shawl that had wrapped the dead body of Jesus, Son of God. There was no need to make a memorial, at the tomb, because he was not dead.
We need to seek the person, the resurrected LORD JESUS, who is our PROVISION. He wants us, to get his VISION. It has nothing to do with the dead things, of which we have made a memorial, such as what we accomplished or did not do in the past. God’s vision and provision are not dependent on how much we have in savings, our education, personality, natural abilities, housing, good or bad looks, luxuries, or what we may or not have. Nor is his provision, dependent upon what disasters we experience, such as earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, inflation, war, death, divorce, poor health, family crisis, or homelessness.
Our focus needs to change, to seek the LIVING ONE, who daily provides all that we need. It is he, who SUSTAINS and REMAINS, with us in our present circumstances. It is he, who walks and talks with us. Do NOT look in the tomb, or make a memorial to live there. Leave the dead things in the past. Remember, to listen to his voice, walk with his presence, and know that in him is all the provision you need to succeed, in LIVING life!

Amen! I do not want to forge binding chains in this life that keep me from walking with Jesus. Lord, hear my prayer!

Indeed! I have a difficult time understanding the significance of this and what Christ did on the cross honestly. The feeling of abandonment I’m sure was unbelievable. The beautiful thing is that whether we fully comprehend it or not, the tomb is still empty.

Yes, the tomb was empty and Jesus appeared to about 500 people over a 40 day time period. His followers went from fearful and hiding to bold and loving. Quite a contrast!

Thank you for this post. I have been so bummed out about not honoring my calling so do long, and then starting a blog that morphed into something different from the ministry it was meant to be. So, I just went into mourning in a way. I need to hold on to Jesus. Like the Apostle Paul, let go of the past and strive to move forward in the work of Jesus. I am encouraged by this message on one of the days we celebrate our Savior’s courage, compassion, and unfailing love.

Yes! We celebrate what our Savior has done for us. It is not on our merit but on Jesus’ obedience to his Father. His obedience has blessed us exceedingly. You are welcome! Do not be too hard on yourself. You can still do a blog with the call that you feel. Start another blog, using it for the ministry you envisioned, and be kind and loving to yourself. You are much loved and the courage, compassion and unfailing love of Jesus, belongs to you because he lives inside of you and you live inside of him. Blessings of resurrection of old dreams and callings! He is risen indeed!
