The Key To Prosperity

by Hazel Straub

What is the secret to living a vibrant life, where you prosper in all that you do? A joyful productive life comes from changing how we think, and mediating and studying the teaching of the LORD, in the Bible. Delight with following God’s ways, allowing his Word to light their path. Like trees that planted by the river, they bear fruit in season, are healthy and prosper in all they do.

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. (Psalm 1:1-3 AMPC)

  5. AS God has helped me to better see the difference between my wants vs. my needs, I have come to live more deeply in the peace only He can give. Not chasing after the things of the world and instead chasing after Him as provided more blessings that I could have ever imagined!
    His Peace to you,

  9. Psalm 1 is my son Luca’s Psalm. We speak it over him and his life often. What a beautiful picture of the tree that lives in the river of God. I like your choice of picture and your opening line “What’s the secret”.Together they stirred in me thoughts of our secret place with God. Often these trees in the water live in tucked away pristine secret places, where life is quiet and still and wondrous. I’m going to pray that my son finds a place like that inside himself.
    Lots of love,
    Thanks for the beautiful encouragement,
    L

    • Agree with you, that your son will find a secret place inside himself to see with God. Lauren, you are most welcome! Love and hugs!
