God’s Extravagant Kindness For Us

by Hazel Straub

God does not treat us as we deserve, but is very good to us. His goodness towards us causes us to soften our hearts, so we turn from our rebellion and fully to him. When our sinful behavior does not get immediate negative consequences, we tend to think that we are getting away with it. Instead, God draws us to him with love, grace and mercy.

Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance? (Romans 2:4 TPT)

  1. Beautiful post!

  2. Thank the Lord, for He is good. And His goodness lasts forever.

  3. We studied Nahum this week. Even when he uses other nations to carry out his judgment, he still holds them accountable. And his love and patience for us is more than I can imagine! As we have been going through the minor prophets, i’m just overwhelmed with the love he has for me.

    • Yes, God cares about the smallest details of our lives and is so loving! What an awesome kind and loving God we know!
