Sometimes we pray and ask God for certain blessings, only to ruin it, by what we later say. Unguarded words can stream out of our mouth and bring destruction. Pausing to stop and think, guarding our speech before opening our mouth will bring life.
We create our world by what we speak. God created us in his image. He spoke and created the world. What we speak will bring blessings or curses.
The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; The one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. (Proverbs 13:3 NASB)

So very true! Amen! The tongue both blesses and curses! We must be very careful what we say with it!

Yes, it is so important to guard what comes out of our mouths. Stopping and pausing before blurting out curses is important. Much better to bless!
