Reliance On Yahweh God

by Hazel Straub

Everyone puts their trust in someone or something. Many trust in what gives fleeting pleasure, prestige or popularity. This includes reliance on money, possessions, employment or relationships. We who trust in Yahweh, God who is with us today, have a firm foundation that cannot be shaken.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Yahweh our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm. (Psalm 20:7-8 NIV)

I am grateful to worship with those that fully trust in the Lord our God, the true and living God. HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH!

  6. I think it’s Timothy Keller who says that anything that we look to for our worth and value is an idol; it’s our god.

    • True. So often we think and put our trust in idols that take the place that God should have in our lives.

      • Yes. Our culture – pretty much all over them around the world – I believe teaches us to do just that.

  7. I first remember hearing that verse when I was teaching Missionettes several years ago. It is stayed with me since! It has become a favorite.

    • It is always good when God highlights a scripture verse. It is one that is one of my favorites also!
