Trust God

by Hazel Straub

I am the Lord Almighty, nothing is too hard for me. Trust me, with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge me, for I direct your path.

Trust and obey. No analyzing but quick obedience, to my voice. I bring you through the narrow, dark places, into a spacious and well-watered plain. Nothing is missing in my presence. Rejoice and drink of my living water. Leave behind fear, doubt and unbelief and enjoy my presence.

Fear not, for I am with you. I call you by name and you are my child.

I remember when, in my early 20s, I began to realize that my first inclinations often led to better outcomes than my ultimate decisions. My meaning here is that the Holy Spirit was often urging me to go one way before I would go my way. It is so important that we desire God’s will. Otherwise, we would not be attentive to His calling.

Yes, we desire to do his will. Listening and honoring Holy Spirit by doing what he says, as he is trustworthy!

Yes, me too. I’m sitting here reflecting on that as well and praising God for his lovingkindness towards us all. He doesn’t hold it against us. He corrects us because he loves us and this helps to prosper us with a greater substance. Substance…something of value…worth. Something that cannot be destroyed. HALLELUJAH!!

What a privilege to be an adopted child of the creator of the universe, the maker of all things, the beginning and end.
