False Worship

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

False Worship – worshiping your leader, in lieu of God the Father. Performing, trying to please the crowd or work the audience, entertaining the people, instead of listening to God, following his lead, and entertaining the King. When the devil can predict your song list, it’s all about your skill, your ability, your rehearsal, your agenda, your preference and what you like.

It’s unpredictable worship, when in place of seeking the Father’s heart, his anointing, his ability, heaven’s agenda, the fresh spontaneous, and new prophetic song of the Lord (Psalms 33:3, 98:1, 144:9, 149:1; Revelation 5:9,10). Allowing springboard room, to express the Glory, that God likes. When praise and worship diminishes, to the songs you’ve learned, rather than the songs you hear from Heaven. When we are glued to the screen in karaoke worship, but distant from His heart, in pure prophetic worship. When we sing the songs of Saul (people’s choice), alternately the songs of David, (God’s choice).

When it’s only the traditional, the top ten on Christian contemporary or gospel charts, your favorites. But it’s never Kingdom Worship, straight from the Throne of God, the Davidic flow, harp and bowl (Revelation 5:8).

When you’re Leading worship, from a place of stress, anger, frustration, (knowing that what’s in you, you’re releasing on them). Trying to manipulate the people to praise and worship God, but never allowing the Spirit of God, to touch the hearts of the people, to worship Him, or being sensitive to God’s heart, to discern, what the Father desires.

When you always do what you did last Sunday, but you seldom do what God desires, today. If the hand of the Lord doesn’t descend (2 Kings 3:15), if the Father isn’t pleased, if you’re not obeying God, the worship is, F.A.L.S.E. (FLESHLY ALTARS LIFTING SELF EFFORT).

Wow! Hearts, Motives, True Colors or Intentions are exposed in this season. Be not entangled or snared by the cares of this world.  (Mark 4:19; Luke 21:34;)

Holy Ghost News Flash! When you care more about your building, more than building your people. When you care more about your needs, than the needs of your people. When you try to correct God, concerning what he is saying over your people, you have missed the heart of the King of kings. You’re in religious control, and spiritual witchcraft, from the pulpit!

We destroy every altar that doesn’t lead to you Lord Jesus, by FIRE!!!!!!

Thanks for this. I always try to shake up my song list for this very reason. No autopilot worship, no getting carried away with familiarity. The slight discomfort of newness brings us closer to the Father.

Yes. It is so important to ask the Lord what he wants to hear. Depending on him not ourselves is powerful.

Yes, worship involves intimacy and relationship. The Lord deserves the worship he desires not going through the motions.

Is it not The Lord who reserves His right to take vengence by “Fire” or by any other means of His choosing?

    Just an observation

When we build altars to the flesh and false gods, it is our responsibility to pull it down and burn it. Love the Lord your God, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and strength.

We must be sure not to build such gastly things things and love our neighbours as we do ourselves. “Let us not therefore judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.” Rom 14:13

Yes. The most important thing is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our strength and with all our mind and our neighbor as ourself. The most important thing is to be in relationship with God, loving him and pleasing him.

I have often found that the moments of my greatest worship are when I am the most cognizant of my depravity, and then see God’s grace shining through. He is so merciful and wonderful! How great is our God!
