True Forgiveness

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

You have truly forgiven and are in the place in God, when you can look at the ones whom hurt you, fabricated stories about you, beat you, and even planned to kill you and say this:

“…Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.”‭‭ (Genesis‬ ‭50:19-21‬)

  1. I wrote a children’s book about forgiveness called The Lilac Princess. Forgiveness is so important for our own health and yet is so difficult to give

    • Yes, forgiveness is more valuable than diamonds so we can embrace our present not the past.

      • Amen! It’s so important to live in the here and now. I’ve been meditating for about 4 years now and it has made such a difference

  2. forgiveness isn’t easy…but if we “choose” to make a choice to forgive i’ve found it’s not about feelings, it’s about obedience.
i realized when someone inflicts pain or tries to make me take offense, i try to immediately ask God to help me to forgive that person…i right then and there pray and speak out my forgiveness in spite of my feelings…
it was hard the first few times, but i’m getting the hang of it and it def makes a world of difference…
thanks for the post…it keeps me in check! 🙂
    blessings!
