Unconditionally surrender, let go of your expectations and agenda, relinquishing control to God. Slow down, quiet down, bow down, calm down and listen. Quit relying on yourself and rushing from one activity to another. Instead have confident trust in Yahweh, depend on him alone and confidently rest in him. While you quietly rest, he fights your battles.
God-reliance makes the impossible reality!
The Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In turning away from sin and in rest, you will be saved. Your strength will come by being quiet and by trusting.” But you would not. (Isaiah 30:15 NLV)

Yes, sometimes we are so busy doing for the Lord that we don’t rest and hear his still small voice. In doing for God we miss the listening and resting in him!

I find in order to have this time it has to be intentionally set aside or it gets gobbled up.

Time can disappear but when we rely on God and his priorities, our time multiplies.
