Fear Not!

by Hazel Straub

Fear not for I am with you says the Lord. Do not fear or tremble at the giants that taunt you. Know that I am with you and I will never leave or forsake you. I have overcome, the enemy is defeated and my victory is your victory. Speak to the mountain and tell it to go. Believe, trusting in me, with no doubt and see your enemy vanquished.

“Have faith in God,” replied Jesus to them. “I tell you that if anyone should say to this hill, ‘Get up and throw yourself into the sea’, and without any doubt in his heart believe that what he says will happen, then it will happen! That is why I tell you, whatever you pray about and ask for, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, you must forgive anything that you are holding against anyone else, and your Heavenly Father will forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:23-26 Phillips)

  1. The corollary verse with this is, Matthew 17:20, “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

May we be reminded of the power of the faith that we already have. Even just a mustard seed’s worth can move mountains!
