Trust In God Your Provider

trust2by Hazel Straub

God says: “Trust me not your resources, job, abilities, reasoning or heritage. Nothing is too difficult for me. Did I not sustain the Israelites for 40 years in the wilderness? They had bread from heaven to eat and supernatural water. Their clothes and shoes did not wear out. I am the same yesterday, today and forever. I am your provision and there is no lack, when I am your source.”

And now I have it all—and keep getting more! The gifts you sent with Epaphroditus were more than enough, like a sweet-smelling sacrifice roasting on the altar, filling the air with fragrance, pleasing God no end. You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes. (Philippians 4:18-20 MSG)

We often forget about God’s provision, I think because we are prideful and take credit for all we have. Thank you for this reminder.

It is so true that we forget about God’s provision! We have all we need in him!

What a glorious reminder and perfect timing.

I woke up this morning fretting over this very thing. Not for today, mind you, but tomorrow. Our God is THE provider. At times, not in abundance but day to day. In our current culture it is easy to get lost in the “fret” when we should be bathed in the faith.

Thank you for this gentle nudging.

Holy Spirit is always right on time with a word in season. It is amazing how he gives us just what we need to hear at the right time. He meets our every need, not when we want it, but right in time! It is so much easier to trust and depend on our loving Father than to worry. Blessings!
