Talk Of God’s Righteousness

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

I will talk of your righteousness ALL DAY LONG

• Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few (Ecclesiastes 5:2).
• If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless (James 1:26).

• The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly (Proverbs 15:2).

• The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil (Proverbs 15:28).

• But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned (Matthew 12:37).
• When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise (Proverbs 10:19).

• A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the heart of fools blurts out folly (Proverbs 12:23).
• He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin (Proverbs 13:3).

• He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity (Proverbs 21:23).
• Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice (Proverbs 13:10).
Psalm 71:24
My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

  1. I have the tongue thing figured out. I’m going to have both of my lips and my tongue pierced, then run one of those barbells through all three. If I sandwich my tongue between my lips and fasten them shut like this I might stand a chance of keeping out of trouble!

    • Laugh out loud! You would only have a tongue that hurt, it’s a matter of the heart! Oh, God change my heart!

      • Hmm. I guess you’re right. I’m cancelling my piercing appointment at the jewelers. 😉

      • 😀
