How many times have you cried to the Lord God to deliver you from your painful hard circumstances? Instead of quick deliverance, he speaks, “I’m walking with you through these things, so you can become more like me.”
The difficulties that you face today, help you become more like Christ. They expose your heart and cause you to depend on him. In the process, more of the beauty of Jesus radiates from you. Show an attitude of gratitude because it is all working for your good!
Romans 8:28 (NLT)
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

You are welcome, Diane. Yes, painful circumstances cause us to have to depend on God and help change us to become more Christlike. You then can love yourself!

# We have more from Paul’s prison house than from his visit to the third heaven.
# Where there are no trials, there are no triumphs.

Yes, it is in adversity that we depend more on God than when we are comfortable.
