“Will you dance with me?” inquired the bridegroom of his bride. She eagerly accompanied him to the dance floor. She had no difficulty following his lead into a waltz, even though she could not see where they were going. Her focus was solely on the groom. Suddenly, the music shifted to a swing dance. Flawlessly, the bride began to swing dance with the groom. It appeared effortless for the bride to change her movements, to the new rhythm and beat, because her gaze was on her groom. The music shifted without warning to a salsa dance and again there was no difficulty, with the bride following her groom into the new dance, as she yielded to him. They danced as one together and did not notice the crowd, who intently watched them and came near them on the floor. The bride and groom had eyes only for each other and their unity exhilarated them, as they danced.
This illustrates how the bride of Yeshua focuses on him, as she yields to her bridegroom, in life’s dance. She has no difficulty dancing with him, when the music unexpectedly, dramatically shifts, and the crowd presses closer. The only circumstance that matters is being with her beloved, attuned to his leading, as she flows with him. Will you trust him and let him lead you in this dance?
