Prayer For A Holy Spirit Sensitive Heart

by Hazel Straub

Lord, I give you my whole heart, asking that you would take my stony heart and give me a new heart of flesh that is sensitive and pliable to Holy Spirit and his nudges. May my heart be tender to your heart. Take my rebellious ways from me. Fill me with your love so I can love like you love without reservation, with my whole heart.

Open and illuminate the eyes of my heart with understanding and wisdom. Let me see with your revelation. myself, others and you, Lord. Let me be sensitive to your heart. May I be quick to turn fully to you and follow all your instructions. You are my help and strength today.

So be it!

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (NIV)
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.”

Heart-the entire mental and moral activity, both the rational and emotional elements. It includes the emotions, reasoning and will. (Vine’s Expository Dictionary)
