Pure Glory

When people are vindictive and intend mischief in a sneaky way towards you, trying to get ahead of you, the flesh feels horrible. One’s flesh wants to retaliate and fight, but the spirit of God in you says, “Take a breather, relax and forgive.”

You may even tell the Lord. “Lord, he or she keeps doing the same thing over and over to me. Make it stop, Lord, so I don’t operate in my flesh”. But God says, “Sometimes people are like sandpaper. They come and rub you the wrong way over and over. Sometimes it hurts so bad. But the rubbing is there to polish you.” It makes you shine with God’s glory. Buffing is not only for sanding rocky places but it’s also for shining. When someone you know is rubbing you the wrong way, over and over and over, know that it’s not just for you but for them too. Because what will happen is, they won’t be able to get to you, in the way they thought. They won’t be able to break through, to make you fold. They won’t be able to make you “cuss them out.” They won’t be able to make you beat them up.

Remember this is a spiritual warfare. We don’t wrestle against people; we fight against Satan with forgiveness and love. The next time someone becomes a thorn in your flesh and tries to buffet you, give God glory, LOVE, forgive and love some more. When you think you can’t do it, God will give you the grace to do it and He will LOVE through you.
