Good Christians Are Warriors

by Timothy Thomas

We are in a day of conflict. The Lord is causing us to face some enemies, things, situations, habits, spirits with whom we were previously passive. But in this day, his desire is that they (these enemies) be utterly destroyed.

“Then he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, Strike on the ground. And he struck three times and stopped. And the man of God was angry with him and said, You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had destroyed it. But now you shall strike Syria down only three times.” (2 Kings 13:18-19 AMP)

By not going all the way, many have become sympathetic and have actually aided these enemies of God unawares. All in the name of being a “good Christian.” A good Christian is a warrior! We must become vehement against the enemies of God and like King David declared:”Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And am I not grieved and do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; they have become my enemies.” (Psalm 139:21-22 AMP)

The reason for the sons of God being made manifest has not changed. We are to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus has secured the victory for us. Let us walk in that victory.
