How often have words flowed out of our mouths, heedlessly, without conscious thought? We cannot take them back, although we might regret, what we said. However, our speech reveals our heart, whether faith-filled, full of trust, relying on God or filled with doubt, fear, unbelief, and bitterness, coming from unhealed hurts and soul wounds.
Choose to have another thought. Think about the goodness of God and meditate on his Word. He loves you, not based on your performance but on your true identity, a beloved child of God. He is your Redeemer, Healer and Protector God. Your heart will heal in his presence, as you think on his Words.
So may the words of my mouth, my meditation-thoughts,
and every movement of my heart be always pure and pleasing,
acceptable before your eyes,
my only Redeemer, my Protector-God. (Psalm 19:14 TPT)
