How many times have we started out on some venture, full of enthusiasm, only to peter out, when it got difficult or boring? Many can recite a litany of reasons why they quit. We tell ourselves, “I didn’t sign up for this,” and opt out. We fail due to “ME-ISMS”, focusing on self (pride) and not on the one who gave his life for us. Instead, if we say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” we will do the impossible.
The journey of life, shapes and matures us, as we walk with Jesus. When we do not allow discouragement and discontent to reign, we will get up after falling. Help comes by listening to the still small voice of Holy Spirit, dying to our flesh along with its selfish desires and living for Jesus. Dead people don’t get offended or worry. Resting in the Lord with an attitude of joy filled, thankful worship, makes the heart merry and the journey easier.
Then Yeshua said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and let him come after me.” (Matthew 16:24 ABPE)

“Dead people don’t get offended or worry.” Amen! In other words, when we empty ourselves and are filled with/guided by the Holy Spirit, our “Me-isms” are suppressed. We can literally have the mind of Christ!

Yes, brother David! When we die to ourselves and crucify our flesh everything changes. We have the mind of Christ! Blessings!

New things can be very exciting. Sadly, it is when things get “hard” or “boring” that we give up.

Yes, we like things easy but easy does not bring growth and the character of Christ. When we change our focus to Jesus, everything changes!
