That is so true. It is the secrets and lies that keep us prisoners and rob us of possible joy. Facing the truth is hard on our own, but knowing that the Lord is with us makes it easier to let go and break chains. Wonderful post.

Most of us want God to work like Santa Claus: just give us presents so we can feel better.
More often, though, He works like a dentist: drilling away at the decay and spiritual sickness so that He can fill us with healing and other blessings.
It hurts at first, but it’s often the only way to true growth in our spiritual lives.
