Dwell In The Presence Of God

by Hazel Straub

Praise of the Lord God, brings his presence. There is nothing like dwelling in his presence. He gives us grace and favor. God is our Shield and Sun and he withholds nothing that is good from us!

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather be a doorkeeper and stand at the threshold in the house of my God than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:10-11 AMPC)

We are changed in the presence of God. I think the song by John Tesh is taken from Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
