Are Problems A Heavy Burden?

by Hazel Straub

Frustrated that your knowledge, wisdom, and ways of tackling the problems that confront you do not work? Our issues will not be solved by men’s wisdom but only by dependence on Yahweh. In 1 Samuel 17, Israel was confronted by foreigners, the Philistines, invading their land. The armies faced each other from a distance and a champion for the enemy arose, making threats. This champion was much larger and taller than the Israelites and had flashy weapons and armor. The Israelites ran away in terror and this happened for forty days. Then a young teenager, who watched his father’s sheep came to give provisions to his older brothers, who were part of the Israelite army. This young man had a different perspective. He had a close relationship with Yahweh and had killed a a bear and lion that had threatened to kill the sheep, he watched. He saw the issue, as one of trusting Yahweh, not in the size of the champion or how things looked in the natural. Based on his relationship with Yahweh, his covenant keeping God, he came in His name with a slingshot and a stone. God gave this young man, David, the victory and the giant champion, Goliath, met his own death and the intruders, fled. The human perspective viewing the size of the problem has nothing to do with its defeat.

We too can come in the name of Yahweh through His one and only son, Jesus, and see victory over what seems in the natural, an unbeatable foe. With Yahweh, nothing is impossible, when we trust in Him, and he gives us victory! Personal relationship and trust in Yahweh fighting with us, gives us the strength to conquer all the troubles facing us! Hallelujah!

Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle-deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in Yahweh our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory!(Psalms 20:7 TPT)

Hmmm, how many of us are like David’s brothers? Or King Saul? Or the Pharisees?

I need prayer as I am dealing with seeing myself rebuffed by those that are suppose to be on the same team. I’m looking to see what is my own doing, which is only a percentage of the issues. Unless I’m not seeing enough. I’m really working on not being part of the problem, but part of the solution. I can’t control other people.

Father in Heaven , we lift up your daughter Susan before you. May she see Jesus and all he purchased with his dead burial, stripping the adversary and putting him under our feet . Let Susan see herself with Jesus with the enemy under her feet. Make Susan so hungry for more of you that she will focus on Jesus and his love for her that she will not pay any attention to the enemy of her soul. May the joy of the Lord be her strength and may she sing and dance in worship. No distractions from her focus on Jesus. Thank you father that Jesus victory is Susan’s victory. Let her eyes and ears be filled with the wonder of your love expressed in Jesus. Amen and amen

Yes, Sister, the Lord hears and answers our cries. There is never a better place to rest than in the presence of God. He loves us!
