Jesus is our burden bearer but often we carry our burdens and troubles, not giving them to him. Then we become stressed, due to the anxiety over what might happen. Many times Jesus told us to not fear and to give him our problems. Many sleepless nights could be avoided, if we gave them to the Lord. The bed becomes rock filled and uncomfortable with heavy problems that we cannot solve on our own. Jesus is our problem solver and has us carry a light load.
“Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Place my yoke over your shoulders, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble. Then you will find rest for yourselves because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NOG)

I recently made a comment on another WP site about how I like to leave my burdens at His feet, just to come back and pick them up. And then He ends up giving me that look of, “Are you leaving them or not.” And then I often tell Him that holding them gives me some sort of comfort as I want to be in charge. But I know that I don’t know how to be in charge effectively, so I keep giving them back to Him, because I know He’s very good at being in charge and fixing things. Its a stupid process, and I am doing it less than say twenty years ago, but I’m not at 100%, so its still a work in progress. Can I get an Amen? I’m know I’m not the only one doing this.

Yes, we have all been there, wanting to give our burdens to the Lord but taking them back! So much better to trust him and let it all go!
