by Apostle Gabriel Cross
There was a time when I would sing, “Long as I got King Jesus, I don’t need anyone else.” However, I can’t sing that anymore, because it’s not true nor scriptural. God created relationships and relationships are divine. Therefore, “savor,” do not sever the relationships where you are mutually involved, God gave us each other as well as himself.

Yes, relationships are important. If one falls into a ditch, the other one can pick him up. We need each other!

I wholeheartedly agree. Love God and Love your neighbor, which means have relationships with both. Wonderful post.

Amen!! During this difficult time, we need each other more than ever before. We need to bridge the gap and be of service to each other, whether we like it or not. Thank you for this needed reminder that in order to create healthy relationships with each other, we need to first do the same with God. Bless you, my friend! \O/ 😀 XOXO

Actually, difficult times exist in order for us to serve the body of Christ (each other)
We console each other through text, card, phone call, and other means.

We rely on the Lord much more in difficult times because we need him so much. Then we have the strength to serve others. Blessings!

That is precisely my point.
He comforts us so that we can comfort others.

This is so very true, and I think one of the most evil things about this covid pandemic and the responses to it has been the disintegration — and even destruction — of fellowship for people. For a whole year most of the people I know were unable to even be with other human beings for any length of time — and never face-to-face without being covered with a mask. Every kind of connecting activity was totally done away with — and that lasted into the next year (2020) Even now, there are so many activities that we cannot enter into freely in order to interact and fellowship with others with a free heart that it is still a debilitating situation. I know for myself, having to look at everyone else’s face covered by a mask — and having to try to communicate through a mask myself — is a horrible and totally unhealthy experience both mentally and emotionally. The Lord never intended tor us to live like this.

Agreed, Sister, we are so much better together than in fear and separation. Thank God, Jesus took down the wall of separation. Together without a mask, we do so much better. The love of God heals the breach. Abundant blessings of being united in love!

AMEN Apostle!! I used to say I don’t need people too but we do need each other!! I learned that I need to make sure that the person I am in a relationship with, is the one I am supposed to be in a relationship with. Dr. Myles Munroe used to say, pray that God remove the ones who are not supposed to be there, and put the ones who are supposed to be there, if you had people who are taking away from you, and not adding to your life!! We need mutual people in our lives – I am a giver but I found myself in the pass with a bunch of takers so I prayed that prayer for God to remove those people and put people He ordained to be in my life!! And He did – now Holy Spirit directs me to which relationship to get into.

Yes! I often talk about how God is healing me from depression. While He comforts me with His Word and His presence, He also uses my relationships with other dear believers to correct and encourage me. If I was not blessed with a loving church community who comes alongside me while knowing fully what I struggle with, I do not think I would be on the path to getting better!
