Through The Storm

by Hazel Straub

We all go through storms. Remember, you are never alone, so keep your eyes on the Lord Jesus, instead of the wind and the circumstances. Above the weather, the sun still shines. The storms are merely tests to see if we will keep our eyes on him, as he loves and cares for us. We rest in the presence of the Lord and know it will end well. He strengthens and we walk by faith, not by sight. He loves us and provides us with all we need to make it through, to the other side!

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT)

  1. God would give us light as much as ever one can receive …

    • God is light and we are the lights of the world. Matthew 5:14-16 ESV 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that[a] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

  2. Needed to read this today, going through any type of storm it is very difficult for any of us. My oldest daughter is chronically ill with different diseases as well as a rare form of cancer now. The road she and all of us her family can become overwhelm. This post reminds me of Jesus walking on the road, we can’t focus on the situation we need to focus on Him to continue to walk with us and her family. To also know that even in the pit of the valley the Lord is still with us, and we continue to praise Him.

    • Eileen, may your daughter, you, and your family be refreshed in the presence of Jesus. He is your refresher, redeemer, peace, healer, and help. May his love and compassion surround all of you during this time and may the pain leave. You are all dearly loved and he holds you close to his heart.

  6. Thank you Hazel, sending love to you today, maybe this is why I like Disney Movies – the end is guaranteed to be good – and I know life is no Disney film but God always guarantees that the ending is with Him and that’s good! We live by faith. xx

    • You are welcome Lauren. Life with Jesus is better than a Disney movie. God makes everything work for good to those who love him and are called unto his purpose. What looks bad turns for good. There is no better example than Jesus death, resurrection and the saving of so many lost souls. Have a blessed day! ❤️😊
