Keep Your Focus On God

by Hazel Straub

God calls us to focus our attention and listen to him. He wants our imaginations engaged in what he is doing and what he promises in his Word. When our attention rests upon God, with confident trusting hope, he keeps us in peace. He calls us to obey his voice and to ignore the voices that speak fear,  failure, hopelessness, and discouragement.

When  we trust, rely and lean on God, he enables us to complete our assignments. No matter how difficult it may seem, God is your strength and help.

“You will guard him and keep him in perfect peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.” (Isaiah 26:3 AMPC)

Hey thanks for sharing, what a great reminder!

I especially like it when you said “When our attention rests upon God, with confident trusting hope, he keeps us in peace.” – I have been thinking about this in the last few days. So true.

The more we focus on the Lord the more this world is put in the rear view mirror as a place we once lived sin and all, but are now alive in Christ where He is now the life we live. May you be Blessed for all the strength and comfort you bring your readers.
