Peace Of God Filled Prayer

by Hazel Straub

Anxiety and worry rob us of our blessings that we have in Jesus the Anointed One. Prayer filled with thanksgiving and God’s peace, also known as shalom, will guard your heart and mind, as you rest in him. Shalom means so much more than peace and encompasses wholeness, completeness, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, and the absence of agitation or discord. Jesus is our Prince of Shalom (Peace) and has fully paid for our wholeness, with nothing broken or missing.

Praise God! Rest!

Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things. (Philippians 4:6-9 TPT)

    • Wanda, God hears and answers. May the God of Peace be your focus during this challenging time. When our minds focus on him as our security, and peace, there is no room for the negative. What helps me is taking a Bible verse such as Deuteronomy 31:8 And writing it down and memorizing it. Then I replace the insecurities with decreeing the verse.
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
I then see myself walking with Jesus.
Prayers and love to you, Wanda. ❤️Hazel

      • Amen! Yes, I agree with finding a verse that applies and posting it somewhere I see it daily and memorizing it! I like the Deuteronomy one you suggested. Thank you! I believe He does answer prayer.
And you’re so right about staying focused on Him—that is what He’s teaching me. God bless you, Hazel!
