It Is A New Era In Your Life

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

Do not and I repeat, do not allow the past to dictate your future, handicap your relationships, squander your faith, cause unnecessary hardships to people, who genuinely love you, or decide whether you can make it or not.

The past belongs in the past. It’s a New day, a new season, a new era for your life.

Ask God, for a new heart and progress, in Destiny.

  8. I agree in that we should never allow the past to dictate our future. They say that our past is history, the future is a mystery but the present is a gift, thats why we call it the present. However, to me, I believe that the past is the greatest gift God can give us apart from life in the present. A very troubled and painful past when faced with courage can actually help to redefine our future. If we run from the past, just push it away like so many of us do….it does end up repeating into the future. Therefore, I agree, that we need to ensure that we don’t allow the fear of the past to dictate our future. But instead, with the love of Christ in our hearts and Him as a lamp to our feet, we should walk through the valley of the shadows of our past in strength and courage with Him by our side, By doing this we can look back at the worst moments in our past and ensure that they never repeat again by extracting from the experience Gods wisdom. Learn from the past and we can redefine our future. History is a gift and therefore, the past is a gift that needs to be cherished understood and valued as an instrument of growth. The problem is we fear the past..and therefore we never look back at it…this is a very clever and subtle trick of the Devil himself…..Blessings in Christ to all.

    • It is important to forgive others and forgive yourself. Many times one dwells in the past because of dwelling among the tombs and the tombstones. The devil has a great time with this and torments. Luke 9:62
62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Isaiah 43:18 “Forget the former things and do not dwell on your past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
We are told to repent (change our thinking and turn from our sin), be baptized (buried in death with Christ) and rise to new life. No longer in the past but following Jesus. We are told to die daily and take up our cross and follow Jesus. Let the light of God through Christ, shine his light on us and heal the wounds of the past. Follow Jesus and enjoy him in the present.

      Abundant blessings!
