Lord, I Resign!

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

It’s Resignation Time! It is so easy to take matters into our own hands; a temptation to try to change someone; stressed because of trying to keep something or someone, you need to release to God.

Today, I resign from the things that only God is supposed to do. I retire from trying to be the “Savior Syndrome,” with people. It’s not my responsibility but God’s.

Lord, here’s my resignation, effective immediately and perpetually.

  3. Good advice! False fervour to convert someone who is obstinate does more harm than good.

    • Thank God! For he alone can take a rebellious person and change them from the inside out with the blood of his Son Jesus. He is merciful to all of us. Man cannot change man but God can. We have to let God do his job.

“But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!” (Romans 5:8-9)

  6. Amen! On September 2, my birthday 😀, I wrote a prayer called “I Give Up”. I meant that because it is definitely time to give up our own “trying” and let God be God. As soon as I prayed that prayer and meant it within my heart, I began to see God tearing some walls down and working some things out. When we remove self, He has room to move because He wants His Glory to be the only thing we see. Great post! Be blessed!

    • Happy Birthday! Giving up as you did shows great wisdom. When we surrender, God is free to move in our lives.

  7. This is something I’m learning right now. You can’t change people. You have to give them to the Lord in prayer.
