Trust God Not Your Opinions

by Hazel Straub

Who do you rely on the most? Yourself and your opinions? The best way to succeed in life is to totally rely and trust in the LORD God. When you seek God with all of your heart, your thinking, will and emotions, God will draw close to you. When you rely on yourself not God, you will have many obstacles. Relying on God and his Wisdom will lead to good decisions and a better path!

Trust in the Lord completely,
and do not rely on your own opinions.
With all your heart rely on him to guide you,
and he will lead you in every decision you make.
Become intimate with him in whatever you do,
and he will lead you wherever you go.
Don’t think for a moment that you know it all. (Proverbs 3:5-6 TPT)

  3. Amen! I read those words again today and am so very grateful that the Lord helps me to walk in this way often. The question becomes: Why do I sometimes still go off on my own, trusting in myself rather than relying on Him?

    • Chuck, your question is excellent. I asked Father God and listened. What I heard was you had some parts that you hadn’t fully surrendered to the Lord, when this happenens, change your thinkiking and surrender pride and say your will not mine. Fully tely on God. Get in the Word of God to think about what God is saying. Blessings, Hazel

  8. I’ve been learning that. I try my best to rely and trust Yah/God fully, but there are sometimes were I waver. I’ve been trying, but it is hard sometimes.

    • The more you read the Bible and ask God to reveal himself to you, the more you will get to know him. Ask him to reveal himself to you. What he did for others he will do for you. Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-11 7 “Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.

9 “Do you know of any parent who would give his hungry child, who asked for food, a plate of rocks instead? 10 Or when asked for a piece of fish, what parent would offer his child a snake instead? 11 If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him?” This is for you. Love, Hazel
