Rest And Praise God!

by Hazel Straub

In the middle of a battle? Don’t put your focus on what the enemy is doing. Instead, know God is good and he fights your battles. Rest in his goodness, faithfulness and love for you. Open your mouth and praise God! His presence surrounds you, as you praise him. I challenge you to speak this Scripture out loud and personalize it.

Let everyone thank God, for he is good, and he is easy to please!
His tender love for us continues on forever!
Give thanks to God, our King over all gods!
His tender love for us continues on forever!
Give thanks to the Lord over all lords!
His tender love for us continues on forever!
Give thanks to the only miracle working God!
His tender love for us continues on forever! (Psalm 136:1-4 TPT)

  2. Amen! This brings to mind Paul and Silas worshipping God around midnight (Acts 16) in spite of their pain as they were unjustly locked in prison and serves to remind me (us) to worship the Almighty God at all times and in all circumstances.
    Blessings,
    Chuck

    • Chuck, Paul and Silas are great examples of praising and worshipping God despite the circumstances. Beaten, in stocks and in the innermost part of the prison, they paised and worshiped God. God came down in response with his earthquake shoes, they and everyone around them were set free and the jailer and his family accepted the Lord. Praise and worship of God is powerful! Abunant blessing of worshipping God, Hazel

  8. Amen!

Was just reading another blog where the writer was pleading that we take our focus off our problems and shift our focus on God instead.

Thanks for sharing, Great scripture and call to action as well

  9. It’s good to know what the enemy’s doing – but not to put all your focus on it.

    • True! When I focus on God and worship and praise him, he fight my battles. The enemy wants to make himself the main attraction rather than God.
