Know Your True Identity

by Hazel Straub

Daddy God, your Creator, has no limits on his love for you. Receive and let his love transform the hidden and self protected pockets, of trauma, rejection, abandonment, unloved, shame, dejection, victim and insecurity. Allow his unconditional love and acceptance to heal what is broken and show the treasure that is you.

Know that your identity is not defined by your circumstances, how others treat you, or the lies that the enemy of your soul, wants you to believe, but by who Daddy God, says you are. All who have believed and received Jesus the Christ are a new creation. You are the temple of the living God and he says you are valuable. Believe and receive this truth. He chose you and adopted you as his beloved child. His love, light, and life shine out of you. Let his loving acceptance and discipline train and renovate you so your intricate beauty shines out from inside you.

But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. (1 Peter 2:9 TPT)

We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it! (Ephesians 2:10 TPT)

  5. Amen! A large part of the call of God on my life is to train up believers that they may be true disciples of the Lord Jesus. The basis of this training is found in Colossians 3:1-3:
Since, then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (NIV)
    Blessings,
    Chuck

  7. We are His poetry! I love it. Sometimes, when we ask ‘Who am I?’ We just get deeper into what others say, or what we say, or what we would like to say, about ourselves. None of it comes close to what God says about us. How lovely when we dig with His hands into our hidden trauma pockets we pull out hidden treasure instead! Lots of love today, L

  9. Wonderful message, thank you.
I open my heart to receive His love, His forgiveness, His strength, His guidance in who I am – a child of the Most High. How awesome is it to be called a child of God, who wants the very best for us. Looking at life through His eyes will make our challenges, our sadness, our pain less about us and more about Him. Together we conquer our fears and move forward.

‘Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.’ ‘Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.’ (Ma 11:29 & Phi 2:1-2) God bless you always.
