The Power Of Jesus’ Blood

by Hazel Straub

Evil cannot be covered up by painting it another color. Even if a house looks good on the outside, it can still have evil inside.

The removal of evil happens when we repent (change mind and purpose of how we live, have a hatred of the sin, turning to God). Our way of thinking must change from evil deeds. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from sin, when applied. We can have our mind renewed as we read the Word of God and focus on pleasing him.

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Cease to do evil, learn to do right! Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. (Isaiah 1:16-18 AMPC)

I like your comparison of our spiritual being with a decrepit house being painted over to look good on the outside. Only the power of Jesus’ blood will take care of our inside to be acceptable to God.
