Let It Go!

by Hazel Straub

Getting rid of the clutter and getting organized is popular during this time of year. Even more important is getting rid of the garbage in your life: Unforgiveness. Release all the hurts, offenses, resentment, bitterness and negativity, by an act of your will and forgive. Quit meditating on the wrongs done to you.

When we fail to forgive others, the darkness creeps into our lives like fungus and pollutes us. All of us have sinned against God, who shows mercy and forgiveness, when we turn to him. However, we need to forgive those who have wounded us, to receive God’s mercy. Forgiving makes room for the blessings pouring into your life. Let it go!

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (Matthew 6:14 KJV)

Forgiveness was a major lesson I had to go through. I learned sometimes you have to forgive the same thing or person every day until you it’s no longer a problem. Learning over the years to let it go faster and not hold on is the best thing you can do.
    Nice post.

I’m seeing more and more that love is the primary power of the Kingdom. And walking in love (and forgiveness) constantly keeps us in a position to operate in all the other benefits of that Kingdom.

Amen! What a great reminder that de-cluttering isn’t just for our houses! How true it is that “we need to forgive those who have wounded us, to receive God’s mercy.” If we fill up our lives with the junk, there’s no more room for the blessings.

Yes, we have to clean up and declutter the inward part of us-our soul. Forgiving others makes rooms for blessings to fill us up!

Thank you for sharing your Words when it comes to forgiving someone that has given us pain within our life. I just recently spoke to my sister about how forgiveness brings healing within our lives and God has never left us. One of the greatest things that we can learn to do… is to forgive, not only those that have harmed us but to prove to God how thankful we are to Him by doing this simple deed. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
