Do You Have Time To Truly Worship?

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

I’m so exhausted of the church on church crime, the church as usual, the so devil predictable, religious mundane traditions of men that make the Word of God of none effect. I loathe the fighting against each other, killing each other in the name of LOVE, while on the same team (body of Christ). So disgusted with the “do what you did last Sunday” syndrome, the same old same old rehearsed song list. I’m ready for the fresh and spontaneous, pure and exotic (not from this world, but from Heaven) worship. Pure Worship that comes from a lifestyle in holy abandonment to God, not the radio or a song list. (John 4:23-24) Worship from a heart that is penetrated and is influenced by Heaven.

I’m ready for the unusual, expecting unexpected, the ridiculous miraculous, Worship unplugged. To become more aggressive in my love for God, myself, and others, even my “frenemies.”  No more church services but THRONE ROOM GATHERINGS. No more man dictated moves but a great awakening and movement of God, in the hearts of mankind. No more cultural and denominational bends of worship but worship without limits, coming from the heart of God. No more God-limiting karaoke worship but pure hearted spontaneous, ebb and flow worship.

God doesn’t desire lip-service, but hearts surrendered in service to Him with mercy. How we treat each other, reflects how we treat Yahweh. How we treat each other when we don’t agree, is a part of our worship towards God. We don’t worship, worship (a form, routine, this is how WE do it), but we worship the One and only living and true God. How can we say we love Yahweh, but hate our brother or sister, destructively criticizing another church or ministry, because their vision is different from ours? Then we try and spiritualize and justify not speaking to one another by saying it’s God, when it’s really our hearts rooted in judgment, bitterness, and division. (John 4:19-21).

True worshippers live by what they see the Father do, not what the world is doing. (Romans 12:1-4) True worshipers live by what they hear the Father say, not by hearsay. (Matthew 4:4) Yahweh has given us the ministry of reconciliation not isolation. The world will know that we are Christ’s disciples not by our giftings, name tags, forms of godliness, and worship “performances,” but by our love exemplary towards each other. (John 13:35)

The Father is sore displeased with us worshipping out of someone Pinocchio-stringing us along,  (always telling us what to do, let’s take 30 seconds to pump the audience jargon), in lieu of worshipping Him out of a personal love affair. (2 Timothy 3:5)

Pure worship is not predicated on our skills, our talents, nor our abilities but pure worship is Christ centered obedience, focused on his ability. If when we approach our Holy of holies God, we are never convicted to change or repent, then we haven’t really worshipped or been in the presence of God.

I’m repenting for neglecting the presence of God. I’m repenting for not worshipping withal my heart. I renounce and denounce every worldly, false, religious way, and every hidden thing of dishonesty, that has polluted my worship. LORD, PURIFY MY HEART, THAT I MAY GIVE YOU WHAT YOU DESIRE & NOT JUST WHAT I WANT TO GIVE. Father, I rededicate my life to you today in sweet surrender, and willing obedience… Teach me how to worship, teach me how to pray, to bring heaven down on earth, and enjoy what brings you pleasure. I hope you find pleasure with my worship and my Praise. I hope it brings laughter to your heart, and tears to your eyes. And that you would allow that laughter to fall on us like NEW WINE, and the tears to fall on us like GLORY RAIN. I will to do your will. I love to love you. I pour my love on you like perfume.

When we create an atmosphere conducive for God, then God shows up and inhabits the worship. However, when we create an atmosphere conducive for people, then people show up and dictate the flow. We want an encounter and pure move of God, not a manufactured move of man. We want a habitation not a visitation…Selah

  1. Praise our Father Yah for this Rhema Word! We absolutely need to examine our hearts closely. It’s all too easy to fall into a certain, wooden-like ‘’mode” of worship — we must keep our lives hidden in ha’Mashiah, that he may renew our strength! Thank you for bringing forth this powerful message, brother. May Yah continue to bless you with all spiritual understanding — shalom.

    • Yes, it is all about pleasing our Father Yah, not following people pleasing routines! Shalom!

  4. I love this message! This is where I am in my walk of faith. Truly desiring a fresh atmosphere of prayer and worship with Jesus. I’m praying against the spirit of religion that’s been connected to my life. I want to live in discipline and freedom, not religion and bondage. As I was reading this I thought to ask you, do you know any trustworthy books or websites that helps bring knowledge about the Spirit of Religion?

    • Read the gospels: Matthew, Mark,Luke and John and ask the Holy Spirit to show you the spirit of religion. Jesus called the religious leaders of his day, a brood of vipers. Vipers are related to the great serpent.

  6. The Word of God is the dominant force in any worship. If it is preached in its pure form, then it has the power to transform us to live a life pleasing to God. If its focus shifts to worldly things, the salt has lost its flavour and is thrown away as being worthless. Thank you for giving me cause to reflect with your words of Thunder! Peter

  8. As I read this I wondered, “What would it be like to walk in to a church service and not have a worship team but someone to invite people to begin worshiping God in their own way?” In my mind, I see a lot of people standing around in very uncomfortable silence. If I’m honest, there are days when I would be one of them. I believe there are other days when I would be on my face in worship drawing as close as I could to my Creator…Maybe that’s how this all started to begin with? People came together and someone began to lead and as they did, others joined in. I think I understand what you’re saying though. It’s truly unfortunate how sometimes things become routine. I love the feeling of true abandonment in worship, and that doesn’t always seem possible in the corporate setting…but then again, it’s not really about my feelings. God desires a sacrifice of praise…and when we worship Him in the corporate setting it is often sacrificial because we can’t always get on our face, but we can join together and offer Him a sacrifice of praise by worshiping with the Body of Christ the best way we can. I’ve been in services before where people were free to worship God in whatever way they choose…it was wonderful. We used to have them once a month at my church in Texas, and it was called “Habitation”. I guess regular Sunday services need more structure if you’re going to get everyone in and out in a timely fashion. You’re absolutely right though…we have to have a change of heart. Thank God for the secret place…where you can truly worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Worship is a matter of the heart, not external actions, and directed by truth rather than ceremony. (last sentence taken from Got Questions in a reflection of John 4:6-30)

    • Everyone needs to bring the Glory of God to the worship gathering. If each one listened to the Holy Spirit and brought a song, word, encouragement, following his lead, it would be dynamite. No fear of man but obeying God and sharing the glory!

  16. YES!! This is what I’ve been feeling–so tired of formulaic services and having to sit still in the church pew when all I long to do is stand up and SING and SHOUT about how good God has been to me and how He is transforming me. Yet I still feel trapped by the expectations and judgments of others, like this is “worshiping the wrong way.” Your post makes me understand I want a closeness with God in worship services that I just don’t feel when I try to do “same old” every week. Thank you! 🙏❤️
