Shift! We must move from and replace the “I’m going to, I really want to, and one day I will” mentality. We must line up with the name of our Father, the GREAT I AM.
Shift to the kingdom mentality, “I am, I’m doing, and I will today,” by the great grace of Jehovah the Great I Am.

I give a huge Amen to this one. This tendency is called “incremental ism” – the tendency to accept fruitlessness and rationalize it by saying; Someday you will save us Lord! And, accepting that it will always be more of the same day in and day out toil for The Lord. But, HE wants to come today. Pray with fervent urgency, specificity, and desperate expectation of His manifest presence upon your home and your city.

I agree with the need for followers of Jesus to claim what God has promised and most of it does pertain to the future. But that does not negate the present, even if what we are going through is hard and even life threatening. Jesus promised to be with us! That assurance lifts us above the ordinary, we are filled with his presence and experience the peace and joy and power of God in our life, because it is the life of God in us. It means we are not powerless to do anything, but emboldened to step out with God to move with him doing what Jesus did. It requires faith in Jesus, trusting him and stepping out and seeing what God can do in you and through you.

In Christ we live and move and have our being. When we follow him, we shift and change with him.
