Trust-An Issue Of The Heart

Trust is a hard thing to obtain from others, especially when you have been hurt many times. God asks us to trust in him with all of our heart.

Well, what if our trust ran out? What if our trust in others was so damaged that it alters our perception of how we view loved ones, church members, and  ourselves. One of the roots of lack of trust is rejection. Have you been rejected so many times, that you don’t trust anybody?

God is still dealing with the heart. This means the damaged part of our hearts, as well. God is still trying the reins of our hearts. One thing we fail to realize is that our trust is nothing compared to HIS Trust. Our lack of trust causes us to put people in a certain category. We start to believe in our minds and say, “Men are this way, woman are that way, leaders are this way, all churches are that way.” Sometimes in the body of Christ, we walk with a limited amount of trust. We become a skeptic thinking that if we get too close, something bad might happen. Some people can’t even move further in any type of relationship because of lack of trust. Let God heal you. Ask God to give you the grace to Trust with HIS trust. Ask God to give you the grace to Love with HIS love. If you’re not sure about someone, ask God to reveal their heart and then pray for them. Don’t place them in a category. Place them in the hands of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in ALL your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”
