God’s Power And Strength For Weakness

In this season, I am releasing my help. I am endowing you with my power and my strength to go on. My power and strength is released, in you, when you are at your weakest. It’s okay to be weak. Do not yield to your flesh, but obey my voice. Obey my spirit, within you. A sign of weakness does not mean that you’re defeated. It means that you’re more powerful than ever in me because your trusting in my strength. It means that you are victorious and overcoming. You all have something with which you struggle. You would be lying, if you didn’t admit it. Sometimes the struggle can seem overwhelming, when you try to stop in your own strength. At times, the enemy will make it seem like it’s hard to conquer and overcome your flesh. Ask yourself, “Who is greater in me? Is it the Lord? or is it that habit, that weakness, that thing I just can’t let go of?” The answer is the Lord. Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Paul said when he tried to do good, evil was always present.

Romans 7:17-23 (The Message)

17-20 But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time.

21-23 It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

Paul wrestled within his flesh, but his desires were to do good. He knew he needed my help. Do you need my help? Do you need my strength to conqueror? Abide in me and be engrafted in me. I am your strength. I am your help. I am your friend. I want to help you. Just let me.
