Says, yesterday, I was like, “God, why do we treat each other the way we do?” God said, “Because of the way you treat Me.”
People treat each other the way they treat God. So how can I expect any better treatment, until “WE” treat God better? Yeah, we love each other, the way we love God.
1 John 4:18-21 (The Message)
“There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed (God kind of love) love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life-fear of death, fear of judgment-is one not yet fully formed (matured), in love. We, though, are going to love-love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.”
“If anyone boasts, “I love God,” and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You’ve got to love both.”
Therefore, let’s be resurrected from the past ways of love and treatment. Let’s love like God, in Christ, loved and loves us. He gave his life, when we didn’t give a damn.
