Watch Your Mouth!

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

Watch your mouth! We make our way (good or bad) with our mouth. What we talk about we bring about.

“If any man among you seem to be religious, (a true worshipper) and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion (worship) is vain. Pure religion (worship) and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” (James 1:26-27 KJV)

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. How we converse and speak concerning one another is a reflection of our hearts, in worship to the Father.

So true. If we find harsh or unkind words coming from us in times of stress or in retaliation, we need to examine our hearts. This ought not to be.

    • God is examining our hearts. He wants us to be more like him.
